Welcome to IPSL-CM-LAM

Limited-Area Model (LAM) or regional model, is a counterpart to the well-known global model encompassing whole planet. With regional model, simulations are tailored to target specific continent, country, geographical region or other custom area. Whenever the global simulation is impractical, or expensive, the LAM might serve you well.

The IPSL-CM-LAM initiative tries to centralize, clarify, document, and develop the regional model closely related to IPSL model suite.

This documentation is your starting point for regional simulations. The goal of the Getting start section is to quickly familiarize the user with the installation, configuration and execution of the IPSL-CM-LAM model suite. Next, the User guide is a collection of advanced topics such as: preparation of custom simulations, visualizing results, or using external forcing data.
